Three Key Takeaways: 1) The Scientific Method is your best friend when it comes to building your prospecting list/ideal customer profile (ICP), 2) Once you've created a hypothesis of who your ideal customer would be, reach out to AT LEAST 20 companies that fit this hypothesis using a templated message that solves each of their Points of Pain (when you're starting out, scoring 5 meetings out of 20 is a good rate), 3) During your follow-up meeting, ask them more about their points of pain and discuss how you can further help them. If they ultimately decide not to purchase, ask them why they chose not to so that you can readjust your pitch for the next meeting. Always be trying to make your pitch better and more accurate to the customer

Hi Patrick
I started to work as a Business Development executive 3 weeks ago and is the most stressful job for me ever.
I was working in a sales previous and I was doing well but due to the pandemic I lost my job and my current manager is pressuring me a lot I cannot even breathe and concentrate on my job.
I am doing cold call cold email visits as much as I can at the beginning they look interested and after I need to chase them all the time and they are so unresponsive.
I am really so sad I don’t know what I am doing wrong and I don’t want to lose this job 😔...
