My brother is an alcoholic and his father died from LB dementia. I'm noticing that he doesn't remember conversations and situations and he repeats himself constantly. He also becomes very agitated and aggressive.

Thank you, SO much, for all your videos. I am 41 and have had memory loss since 35 or so. Been taking SSRIs (25+ years) Ambien and Clonazepam(benzodiazepine) for sleep and anxiety for maybe a decade.MDD, GAD, PTSD, ADHD and now Fibromyalgia. I can safely say that at a relatively young age memory impairment effects functioning/learning/ the ability to work.

I am genuinely concerned that if I am like this now, what will I be like when I am older (will I be high risk for dementia?) and would trying to taper off some meds help restore some memory capability before it is too late?

Not sure what specialist to talk to about that, I do see a Neurologist.

I suffer from PTSD from trauma behind a bad car accident. I have bad short term memory loss however my long-term memory is amazing. I'm currently seeing a psychiatrist in a therapist but fear not able to tell me when I will recover my short-term memory. It has affected a lot with my work abilities and being able to multitask and recall details. The doctor told me to use different mind games and reading to try to enrich my short-term memory but I haven't seen much improvement with it yet. I'm hopeful to regain some of my short term memory so I can feel more comfortable and confident in my work abilities. I welcome agy suggestions.

I suffer from it. Was taking migraine medication that caused it. However, I was recently told that since being off of the medication for some time now, more than likely, it's from menopause.😢

Hey Dr Jen 🎉. Do you know if taking sleep aids for a long period of time can cause it as well?
