OFF GRID with DOUG and STACY: Stacy has joined the colab with all our favorite YouTubers for the Frugal Family Food playlist.

She is making Salmon Patties and home made potato chips with Dandelion flowers for desert and all on the wood cook stove talk about a frugal meal lol I think we are into this one for $5-6.00 at the most and could feed 4 people. If you like this video shot at 8pm in a dark cabin and wonder how we do it lol just ask in the comments.

This is nice. I love this at-home food preparation times. My favorite is the dandelions. I usually make dandelion mini pancakes. And drizzle the honey on top.

"You're a good everything." How sweet Doug! Stacy, your food looks delicious and Doug, you've said it before, but you proved it, you are a good eater!

Never thought to put greens on my salmon patty‘s like other sandwiches. Will definitely try that next time.

Oh we absolutely LOVE salmon patties! I also love the idea of using the lettuce to replace the bun if you're eating it like a burger. Great way to cut those carbs and get some greens. The chips looked extra yummy. Nothing beats salmon patties and fried potatoes. I will definitely be trying the candied dandelions. What a great idea. Stacy I swear you're a frugal food culinary TFS!
Love, hugs and blessings, Lisa

NICE JOB GUYS👍 I toss my fries in melted butter with seasonings than bake then👍they're super good! I love your style of off the grid and so I think we'll be trying some things very soon starting with using kerosene lamps. Thanks for making these encouraging videos!👏👍✌

Love salmon patties. My wife makes them similarly, without the spice. The side dish is always spaghetti, which she then bakes till crispy.

Yum! Going to make this tonight! Love salmon patties. Sometimes I use flax seeds as a gluten free option. I never make mine the same way twice. But there are tons of flax seed salmon patty recipes on line for people with diet restrictions. Thanks so much for sharing!

I like what you added to the salmon. I haven't ever added that before. I have fresh Salmon from Alaska in my freezer to use so I am blessed with that. I lived in Alaska for 10 yrs and went back last year for vacation. And I love my Salmon patties for sure.

Awesome, I love salmon patties, and I like the mustard sauce idea. I’m going to try the desert.

The best food came off moms old cook stove. Big pots of soup that never seemed to run out. Bread from the oven. Salmon cakes and fried potatoes once a week. Thanks for taking me down memory lane guys.

I always grab canned wild-caught salmon when it's on sale. Very filling, lots of protein and good source of Vitamin D in the winter :)

Aww. "You're a good everything". Now, that's more like it, Doug. Stacy is lovely. Oh, I could use a scoby, please. I've never made Kombucha (or even tasted it) before. But, I would like to try. Thank you.
