Mistakes are part of learning. Some naturally have "good eye", some learn in colleges and most ignore mistakes altogether. Thank you, Michael, for actually categorising most common errors. Great help in forever learning process.
It's also good to look at one's work of past years to see it from new and different angle. I personally have found hidden gems in previously "rejected" shots.

Yeah good point man I have so many photos that have some cool components but are just not good enough overall to share.

Some of my friends are like dude that's amazing You should post that online but they just don't get it it's not good enough you know the subject wasn't in focus or the background is too blown out... Pretend you're judging someone else's photo.

Totally agree that one, probably very top on the merit list of the characteristics that differentiate between a norm vs a pro photographer, is the ability to know and execute, what you call self-editing or in other words, Which one to Keep and Which 1 to Bin. No remorse here, no matter what!

LOL, I must be a lifetime beginner. I never post (maybe an amazon review here & there), but i am guilty on 8 counts of beginner mistakes (tho I've never used that slider at the end). As always another great video. I know what I am speaking of because I am an expert. I must be I have made each mistake a 100 times :) . On a serious note I would like to see the same theme about cameras. I bet there 6-10 settings, or features most of us either ignore or use incorrectly.

You missed one of the biggest mistakes I make all the time... Leaving the lens cap on and scaring the bug away trying to remove it.
