I see the narrative (by media) going in this way, moving forward and after election results-
1) If BJP loses power - That's it, MODI is defeatable- 2024 is for Non BJP
2) If BJP regains power with simple majority (like in 2017) - MODI can be defeated and Opposition can challenge BJP
3) If BJP regains power with big majority ( with AAP splitting votes of Congress) - Look at AAPs vote percentage (went up from 1 % to... ). This not BJPs win, but this is Kejriwal's uprise in Gujarat and his challenge to Modi.

Bottom line- This is elections for an incumbent (BJP) Govt. after ruling for 3 decades, and MODI left Gujarat as CM 8 years back..Can we imagine any Non BJP govt. in any state like this ruling for 3 decades?

BJP is gonna sweep this election easily, as Congress is nowhere and AAP is gonna eat some voteshare. A threeway contest is only beneficial for BJP because its actually one way for BJP and two way for Congress and AAP as BJP votebase is loyal to them. People think that BJP performed terribly in 2017 when in reality vote percentage was at 49.1 which is higher than 47.85 for 2012 election. Only thing that worked for Congress was higher vote share which won't work now.

Shekhar u are a very respectable journalist my prediction for Gujarat . BJP 110-115 seats, Congress 50-55 seats, AAP 0-5 seats plus and minus 10% kindly keep it as an archive and show it on 8 th december.

The Congress does badly in Urban areas but improves in rural areas. The BJP is very strong in Urban centres of Gujarat. AAP is campaigning in urban centres and may dent BJP's prospects. However, I still do not see any significant support for AAP

I'm hoping Prints AAP bubble will burst after election, the amount of coverage AAP is getting shows the desperation of Print against BJP.

Gujus are smart. They will give no chance to AAP. At the most, a few from cities may vote for AAP but that will not matter much overall. Shekhar rightly pointed out that Congress has a sure vote base of 35% votes but BJP too has a sure vote base of 50% plus. So Gujarat is sorted.

BJP: 120-130
Congress party: 30-40
AAP: 10-15
