The Filipinos are proud of you for using a lot of garlic! Simmer the adobo a bit more until the fat separates from the soy sauce and it's going to taste

My hubby is Filipino. His aunty came to visit and wanted to cook adobo. We didn't have any Filipino vinegar so she used what we had, balsamic vinegar. It's been 15 years and she loved it so much with the balsamic vinegar that she's used it ever since instead of the traditional Filipino vinegar. She's an exceptional cook and is known for her food but she's never told her Filipino friends of the switch in vinegars but at all the Filipino celebrations and get togethers, they tell her to bring her adobo as her is the best! It makes me laugh when we attend these events and they rave about her adobo, she turns and gives me this slow wink with a big smirk on her face! She's such a funny lady and is super mischievous and I adore her to bits so being the only person in the world who knows about her subterfuge is lots of fun! 😂

Pro tip: for mango graham/float, try to use Filipino graham called M.Y. San graham for authentic Filipino taste. You could also use fruit cocktail or peaches if you don’t have mango. For fried garlic rice, you can also try to sauté garlic in butter and use soy sauce or Maggi savour liquid seasoning to season the rice. But over all you did well!

On your part 2 Filipino episode, pls try making beef pares, pork sinigang, and kare-kare. For dessert, you can try making leche flan or buko Pandan salad. Goodluck!

12:55 trick here is to chill the all purpose cream before whisking. The chilled temp will help it fluff up. If the cream is too soft, it wont thicken. Cheers!

As a Filipino myself, I can say that the Bistek and Adobo recipe is servin'! You guys did a great job with it. Try refrigerating the Adobo then reheat it in the morning that's gonna be yummy!!! Do a part 2!!!
