I remember when Andre "didn't speak English". LOL Andre is the BEST that TFL has on their staff. This was a really good review and very comprehensive. Thanks, Andre.

My son bought a 2023 Ranger and Loves it. He's buying a Catalina 25 sailboat this weekend and having that 7500 lbs of towing and 1500 lbs of cargo carrying (tongue weight in his case) is a huge plus. The boat weighs about 3500 lbs dry, so when he gets it all loaded up for a trip he'll still be way under the weights = nice truck for something like this.

I'd take the extra 150 lbs of payload over 200 lbs of towing all day. Really liking what they did with the Ranger.

Lived in SLC for 27 years. It was awesome to see you reviewing there in the snow! I dont like 4 doors, I like a 2 door with suicide doors, so this truck is out for me. But Ive been pretty impressed by the current rangers. Several customers have gotten them, and they are loving them so far.

Nice Truck, the biggest issue is discounts. These quarter tons never receive the incentives the half-tons do, and typically you can get a F-150 in the same Trim for cheaper. Even now in this crazy car market, you can get a F-150 $8-10k off MSRP without even trying. Factor in a very minimal MPG gain, and getting an Aluminum Body with the F-150, vs Steel with the Ranger. Going F-150 is a No Brainer.

We have a 2020 Ranger short cab with a 6’ bed. 2wd with 1850 lbs of payload. 23 mpg loaded down. This is just one of our work trucks. When I have to replace it, I will have to find another truck with the long bed and short cab. I wish Ford would help out the business customers more. I want base model smaller trucks with long beds.

So sad it doesn't get the Bronco's 7 speed manual!

Ranger xlt w/ the 2.7 ecoboost might be in my future!

I think were going to see that the 2.7L Ecoboost is the performance leader in the mid-size class. I test drove a Colorado ZR2 with the 2.7L Turbomax and it was kind of a dud IMHO. It did NOT feel like it was making anywhere near 430 ft-lbs of torque. This was coming from driving a 6400 lb 2014 F150 Ecoboost on 35's that "only" makes 420 ft-lbs. The ZR2 should have made my F150 feel like a slouch and it was the total opposite. My F150 felt stronger.

We've had this model for over a year in South Africa. I personally own a Wildtrack with a 3.0 Turbo Diesel V6. We don't have a 2.7 Gasoline but a 3.0 V6 TT. Then we also have the Everest SUV using the same powertrains on a shortened Ranger platform. By the way, Love the snow😂. That, we don't have.

Sold! Getting the XLT with the 2.7 ecoboost. Already better than what Toyota and Chevy are offering with their 4 banger turbos.

Knock $15k off the price and you have a KING

Wish this had a traditional hand brake like the previous version. I hate many things that's happening with trucks now, and vehicles in general. My 2019 Ranger still feels a little old school though. I love it. I will say I like this new model better than the class competitors.

Engine cover just to make it look pretty is just a heat trap anyway. The cover also prevents you from seeing if anything is leaking or nesting under the cover

Thank you Andre for reviewing a more affordable trim level!

I have a 2020 XLT Supercab with a 6' bed and love it. 4x4 with a locker without all the flash of the offroad oriented versions. The lack of 6' bed option means this one is a non-starter for me.
