glitch is probably the most common on door 49 because the library takes up a lot of space and has a high chance to collide with something

Oh, that just happens because the room didn't load up properly/fast enough. If it did load fast enough, the glitch would've never been there, and you can tell he was there just to put you through door 49 because you didn't take any damage.
Just an edit: after making this comment, I have gotten this type of glitch three times, and all of them were for door 49, which means that door 49 just has a consistent problem with loading up the room.

Honestly, I love how the devs incorporated Glitch, making it an actual creature/spook while also using it as a failsafe to protect your run! Very smart on their part

That happens because the room you were about to go into was not loaded properly. That is a feature to ensure your run isn't ruined.

I've also gotten glitch from a room generation failure, I got him during the seek chase. Seek's Pop-up animation played then I started running but the door wouldn't open. I died to seek but glitch said *NOPE* and put me past the door. At the start of that I got scared because I thought I died to lag and glitch appeared but was relieved when he saved me and I didn't die. Although, I got pissed cuz I realized I skipped the chase and would be able to pass through a lot a doors quickly and listen to the bomb-ass music. So that was an experience.

Everyone in the comments has already explained this, but the reason this happened is most likely because Room 50 is huge. Even when Glitch doesn't spawn, 49 takes a while to load since it loads in alongside 50, which is probably the biggest room in the game. I'm guessing either 50 took a *liiiittle* too long to spawn here, or it spawned inside of another room.

It can be for 2 reasons why glitch spawns, 1 if you fall to far behind your team(it takes damage too), and 2 if a room didn’t load properly

Glitch is a nice guy, he just teloports you to the next door if it doesn't load fast enough so if it doesn't expect glitch coming to save you.
