We live and learn. That was a great lesson for all of us, I've been speaking and listening to English for over 76 years. It has given me more confidence to answer some awkward questions that arise about how we use the language.

Great, new video 😁. And I couldn't agree more... language is not all about rules. Especially English. Students fare better when they understand that. 🕺

Hey! I really enjoy this kind of videos because it's not just explaining the rules, but giving context and sense to things we tend to see as mechanical. There are so many other aspects of language we don't generally hear about. But fortunately, there are you to show us what more are there!

"Upon" is used in the phrases like "upon request", "upon arrival" etc -- i.e. right after some condition happens in real life.

I've thought that so many words depend on the context, this is the reason because one word has a different use. Thank you so much for the explanation.

I started a new class this morning inspired by your video.
It is commonly known that newbies are terrified by grammar rules. So your video is de-terrifying them to learn and invent new words. And why not. Everyday a new word is invented, why not, let's join the flock.

Really interesting. But, the most important thing: how is your health? Are you well recovered?

Hi Christian! You are a great teacher! You made a video in the past where you encouraged students to “use” language. Since then I haven’t been afraid to speak English with natives. I even talk to somebody every day in order to improve my English skills. Many blessings from Romania 😁

I'm 33, and I only learnt English for 2 years by this moment! And YES, I've definitely had SOO MANY TROUBLES studying English as an adult 😌 But now I can totally understand English and even speak English with some confidence, and I make my own English-speaking videos on my Youtube channel . I want to inspire other English learners to SPEAK and PRACTICE English every day. Thank you for reading this comment! 💖 You CAN reach your goals, guys, if you are consistent and positive-minded! 👍
