One of the most devastating problems, that affects the whole world’s society is drug addiction. USA is in the top 3 countries with the highest consumption of illegal drugs in the world.
There are many factors that cause this problem, but one that stands out is the lack of education programs, focused on preventing drug consumption - both at home and at school.
Another factor is the inexplicable lack of interest and action of the past administrations in reducing and eliminating this crisis. There is no investment in programs or ideas that help to identify a lasting solution to solve this problem.
Apparently, the only thing that previous governments have thought to counter this problem with is to continue in a war on drugs that was lost years ago. All the ideas and tools to eradicate drug use have failed.
We need a government that commits to finding a solution that reduces consumption and in turn puts an end to all the other evils (illegal immigration, guns, crime, low performance in school) that arise from drug addiction.
The solution is not to attack the manufacturer or distribution of those drugs, the solution is to eliminate or reduce consumption HERE AT HOME!

In the past, we had a similar situation with alcohol and tobacco ... they were legalized, controlled and educational campaigns were made that ended with a reduction in consumption, this is an experience to copy.

I hope to find a presidency candidate that takes this seriously and presents a program to reduce the consumption.

I literally commented on a post with a heart and an Israeli flag (I didn't say anything else), and someone commented that I should be gassed to death (this is in reference to the Nazis killing Jewish people with poison gas). And I'm far from the only one to experience this. This might seem like an extreme situation that's a rare occurrence, but it happens constantly & it's completely normalized.

I think it helps prove Ray's point.

We need to talk to each other like human beings, and we need to try to value the ideas of others!
