I signed up for your guitar wisdom and I’m loving it so far. I even ordered the book you recommended for your sight reading series. Been doing video a day followed by practice. Definitely see and improvement.

Folks, this is the BEST lesson on improvisation you can get. He's just given you the secret. I have a degree in music, and this person humbly distilled it all in 11 minutes.

I love how Tomo's eyes stare into my soul telling me "yes, you're shit now, but study, practice, practice and perform, and you will improve"

"Think about food when you're performing" is sincerely some of the greatest musical advice I've ever heard. I went to Berklee for piano so I never got a chance to meet you, but I really love all your youtube content and I'm so appreciative of you uploading so much knowledge for free.

Dude. As a bass player I figured out triads to help me walk around. As a lead guitarist, I never considered the triads on the first 3 strings to help me solo. Best advice I've heard. Thank you.

I really appreciate that he doesn’t treat the learner like a dummy. Most of what he says is implied through few words and a practical example. I really dig that about him. He doesn’t waste time with over explaining it. Good teacher.

Really appreciate that Tomo not only teach us to play, but how to THINK !

Thank you so much! This is what I’ve been looking for. Finally I know what those triads I practiced for proficiency exams are for. Man I wish I could get your private lesson in the future.

You are the first person I've heard suggest not visualizing pentatonic shape, but hearing pentatonic sound. It's so refreshing to hear it suggested sonically instead of visually. There's absolutely nothing wrong with visual referral when you're just beginning, but there comes a point where you have to start trusting your ears and allow them to lead you outside of your comfort zone. It's okay to make mistakes along the way. Mistakes bring growth.

10:21 I saw what you did there. Playing that solo on a dark desert highway. :)

This is such an incredible lesson. I think the thing that helps like with that you said is, to distract yourself which can go hand in hand with not overthinking/overplaying.

Guitar wisdom indeed. You are a treasure.

I want to take a moment to acknowledge that you are very encouraging. You don't shy away from saying this just needs to be learned. "It's not your fault, it's just your turn" to learn. I appreciated that

Honestly the most mental inspirational teacher on earth🙏. You dont’t just teach playing the notes, you teach us being concious about what we say with the notes we are playing and why. Many musiscians miss this level of conciousness

That practicing vs performer's mindset with the food was the best piece of wisdom I've heard in a while. Don't overthink, just let the music flow! Thank you, Tomo!

I love these videos where you do extended soloing over a simple progression. I learn so much from your phrasing and your rhythmic variations. I'm starting to get a bit more able to use these things in my own playing. Thank you for your online content!!!!

There are nuggets of gold in every one of your videos, you have to watch them all and discover! I began with triads the first day of subscribing to Guitar Wisdom and thought I would spend a few days on them and move on... Over four weeks later, I feel like I am only just starting with them. Thanks for such inspiration Tomo, with your help this lockdown has been turned into a huge positive for me. When the restaurant reopens and I’m back in the kitchen most of the time I will look back on this as a guitar golden age!
