"I’ve wanted this for Jill for years already. Jill has always been extremely aggressive and it’s so taxing on her siblings alone. My husband is deathly afraid of institutions and homes due to a personal experience and no amount of convincing has had him change his mind. He’s sure that something horrible will happen to Jill in one. The topic triggers an explosive argument.

I want to get Jill help and I want my children to be safe. I want my husband to come back to Earth and realize that this is not working. He coddles Jill and swears that love will fix her. Love is not fixing this. She needs help. I want to get her help. I’m almost 100% certain that my husband and I will actually divorce at this point in time because Jill hurting her sibling that bad was my final straw. He refuses to put her in a home.

I do not want to leave Jill in his care but I can’t put my kids through that again. If he won’t agree to get her help, there’s nothing else I can do."

I can't condemn OP, this sounds like a nightmare situation and not everyone can deal with it. Especially if the other children are being hurt. I hope she can find a solution.

Put your kid in a proper home for autistic kids. You have other kids to also think about. Their upbringing will suck with all that abuse and that could have a life-long traumatic impact on them.

I think divorcing the husband would be a very bad idea. I mean from what I heard, he just wants to provide for the family so they can survive. Doesn't make sense to punish him with divorce. It's not his fault the child is autistic.

I'm a father of 3. My wife has BPD and bipolar, she dove into the bottle, then meth, then cheating. She finally left and left me with all three of our boys. Our 3 year old is HIGHLY autistic and basically a feral animal and it's killing me and hurting my two older kids. I just want to wake up and have him gone from my life.

Jeez, I remembered a post of widow mother gotten to breaking point when her oldest son vented on his young brother for ruined his life. I don’t remember what disability that he was diagnosed, but he basically unresponsive. More sadder when her husband self deleted when he couldn’t deal with financial issues for therapy and medication.

I feel like op is not telling us everything. Why does jill have meltdowns? Why does she get into fights with her siblings? Typically if an autistic child (or really any child, even neurotypicals) has meltdowns its rarely for no reason. Usually its because theyre overstimulated, being disrespected or made fun of, not getting told the reasons as for why they dont get what they want, being bullied at school, etc. I know for a fact i never had meltdowns unless my siblings or mom treated me like dogshit. Her family being the ah's is not out of the question. Of course jill could be just violent by nature, but that is a pretty rare case.

I remember there was this one story where the husband unalived himself, prolly due to the stress caused by the second son, in that post, everybody could see the mother(op)'s pain, cause she kept calling the second son "A vegetable" and other names, i think they put the second kid in a group home and they tryna live their lifes now, These posts are a very good ad to not do the devil's tango lmao
