Piper Comanche 400

Показать описание
Powered by the huge, 400 horsepower, 8-cylinder Lycoming IO-720, the Comanche 400 was the fastest production single-engine aircraft of its day, and still today, outpaces most light twins.
Of the only 146 400’s produced from 1964-65, perhaps less than half are still flying some 56 years later. The 400’s acceleration, climb rate, speed (and fuel consumption!) are legendary and they fly like a dream. The distinctive “throaty” sound of a 400 taking off or performing a low pass is music to the ears of those who know them and always turns heads.
The 130-gallon fuel capacity gives the 400 an endurance of over 5 hours at 185 kts, more than 7 hours at 160 kts, or nearly 9 hours at 145 kts, providing a range of about 1,300 nm with VFR reserve. Even with full fuel, the remaining useful load is still more than 600 pounds!
