It is as if you knew EXACTLY what I would be learning in my first year Critical Thinking course. Thanks for the upload! On a sidenote, your voice is very easy to listen to!

I'm taking a critical thinking class and we are discussing Inductive and deductive arguments and this by far is the BEST explaination. Thank you.

It might be a good idea to change the examples in this vid and reupload it. Arguments, whether inductive or deductive, do not consist of opinions as premises or subjective interests as conclusions, which is why I'm concerned because people in the comments are using the information in this video on their exams at school. Also, arguments whose premises prove the conclusion are still inductive since its always possible, even if improbable, that there are other unknown premises that would alter the conclusion. It's only with deductive arguments that that is not possible. There were also examples of inductive arguments at the end of the vid that were actually deductive, such as applying general principals to specific claims, as well as the definition given of causal reasoning.

My only issue is I found this vid two years after my Critical Thinking class otherwise, thank you for your use of straight forward "regular people speak" and not the academic blah blah blah I had to weed out in order to understand what you've presented in < 10 minutes. Seriously academia ... Get off your asses and learn to teach in the 21st century and not the 18th!

My school (Ohio Christian University) referred me to this video as part of my assignments, but being Deaf and having the automatically generated captions from YouTube made it impossible to understand. Is there a way for you to either caption the video, or even put a transcription in the description, so future Deaf, or those that need captions for other reasons could enjoy and learn from it as well, please?
Thank you!!

Hey Aaron! I've had trouble getting the difference between inductive and deductive, and I have a psychology test tomorrow. This video really saved my day, and hopefully my test.
