Tesla doesn't just have quality problems in China, they have quality problems EVERYWHERE. That's obvious to anyone who isn't sucked into the Koolaid and drinking a ton of it in the hype machine. They have TERRIBLE quality. How else do you explain a car showing up with it's back seat NOT MOUNTED...if any major car company had a quality problem like this they would be in the hot seat. They don't just have recalls, they have terrible service, they have NO PARTS AVAILABLE FOR OLDER MODELS and if you don't live close to a chop shop and your car has a problem...your screwed.

I'm a product manager of MG Rover, to be honest in side to side comparisons Tesla does fall behind very badly against established marques on built quality in terms of simple stuff like panel gaps, causing a lot of wind noise and sometimes water leakage. It's the same problem among US made and Chinese made Teslas. "That's what you would expect when you rush the production" I salute Elon for saying these words out loud even for his own company.

What Tesla really excels is their battery technology, being able to squeeze out more range for the same amount of battery loaded.

And TBH Tesla fanboys and keyboard worriers: tearing your competitors' cars apart to learn about their design and technology is a very common practice in car industry. Anywhere.

Chinese Customers don’t get upset we in the west have known about Tesla Quality Manufacturing issues for some years already. It’s what anyone can get for buying a Tesla. Try an ev from Mercedes, Audi, VW the quality of build and the wind noise insulation of the car is on a much higher level for sure. It simply isn’t such a robust build car as many other EV manufacturers. I know there trying to improve but i am not optimistic when they have said that the last 5 years and well not much has changed on the quality issues they still show up regularly.
