Fun fact. This trick was the first trick my chess teacher told us at school during chess hours, so I was fortunate enough to never fall for that

Seems like the same movement as wizards chess scene in harry potter

Pulled this in a tournament once. Buddy was so disappointed in himself we both laughed 😂

ATTENTION: Yes, I am aware people are saying do not block the queen with pawn g5 but in the video he does not say that as there is a pawn stopping the queen, however, if there is nothing protecting that pawn then do not block with the pawn as there will be a fork on your king and rook. If this is move is about to occur block it with pawn d6 or Nc6

If black moves the pawn forward, it’s a fork when it take the e5 pawn

I used this successfully against the number one ranked player in my middle school chess club. Needless to say he wasn’t very happy.

Yeah "once"

I learned that and destroyed some kids in chess class. Then the teacher saw what I was doing and taught it to the class and I had to resort to normal games

If they advance their pawn to attack the white queen on H5 like you do here, the the queen can OFTEN take the pawn on E5, causing a check, and forking the rook.
Doesnt work in this example because black moved their queenside knight to defend that pawn early enough.

I use this opening from white all the time. I've mastered picking apart half my opponent's board with only my queen, before I move in for clean up with my bishops and knights. Finishing off checkmate by either pushing pawns, or the moving my rooks into their backline

Levy said the scholas mate Is were you bait the pawn on the queen then chek the king by taking pawn and then take the rook in the corner

It's actually 8 moves, 4 moves per side. Checkmate in 4 moves is known as a "Fool's Mate".

Moving the pawn up doesnt stop the queen from moving and taking the e5 pawn, winning a rook. The wayward queen attack is my favorite opening and there are a lot of flaws in this video.
