So I tried out Spren myself - found the photo part went much smoother than it did here, but looking at the numbers in the PDF I think all it's really doing is determining your waist to hip ratio and combining that with the height, gender, and weight values you give it to work out the LMI & FMI. 

Interesting, and I'll probably do a few more during the week's trial but I don't think it's worth the £60/year or £20(!)/month, so I'll stick to the tape measure in the long term!

I love zozo fit. Not really for body fat, but for quick measurements.

You should get a Fit3D body scan - Knowing your channel, you could do some pretty cool stuff with animating that Fit3D scan.

Is hydrostatic still the industry standard? I've always been curious to get one of those. We had one at my university.

Spren isn't on Android anymore its only on Apple r there any alternatives because Spren is awesome tbh

i have a scale that also measures body fat, visceral fat, subcutaneous fat, bone mass, bmi, skeletal muscle, protein, etc. Not sure how accurate it is but i use it daily. Is this thing more accurate than the scale? You just stand on it barefoot and i guess it shoots electrical charges up you or something?

What if you wore a corset to change your waist measurement while wearing the zozo suit? Would that change the bodyfat %? Would the scanned model in the app show the difference? I would love to see another video of you testing the limits of these body scanners :)

I wonder what would happen if the images and data these app collect got leaked.
It wouldn't be the first time and it won't be the last, because it is something to be aware of when you're sending private data to a third party.

And then there's the question of what (both) apps are actually measuring.
Are there any (competent) medical / biological tech folk around that can put these things to the test ?
