I can't believe after 10 years of playing Hide and Seek in Forza the developers made it an official gamemode!

Something that would be nice to see would be a menu in which you can configure exactly what you want to happen, for example:
- This many max hiders ()
- This many max seekers ()
- This area (select on map somehow?)
- Time limit ()
- Car selection ()
- Rules (...)
etc.

this really feels like a game mode where nick has finally had some input with the devs on how to implement a new game feature.

if so, congrats to u nick, this has made fh5 a much more fun and interesting game for everyone!

Hopefully you still play the classic Hide and Seek where there's 1 seeker and more hiders and other ways rather than always sticking to the new game mode.

The seekers really feel a bit overpowered. We will see.

I think Nick's worries of hide and seek are valid, in part. Forza does have an issue with traffic density, and unless that has been addressed as part of the development of the game mode, I fail to see how it could be a success. The game mode seems most similar to what Failrace does with the series "Survive the Hunt", which is based on a similar methodology of having hunters in much faster vehicles than the person hiding, and I think that as a concept it does work, so long as there are tweaks to the traffic. One of the things that Failrace has actually addressed (if I remember correctly), is that his Forza version of Survive the Hunt were much harder to make and film than his ones in GTA V, as the seekers/hunters could much more easily identify the hider from various Forza UI things (such as the challenge icon popping up, the fact that number plates are different, and also just that there are fewer cars on the road. I'm personally more worried about the implementation of the "powersups", especially the ones that are given to the seekers, since they already have a fairly significant advantage over the hiding car, so then also being told where the hider is within an area (and then being able to use a powerup to tell them exactly where the hider is) feels like it severely disadvantages the seeker in a way that is unfair.

I wished the hider cars shuffled through the factory colors instead of being locked to the color they’re in fh5, makes the seekers job of narrowing too easy i feel.


Also a few questions:

1. Is the seeker ability shared among the team or do they all get their individual ability?

2. Does the hider get to change cars between rounds?

I feel that it would make it more fun for the seekers if the detection bar was removed, it takes the fun out of trying to find the hider rather than just driving around waiting for the bar to fill up

This appears to be extremely cool and I can't wait to actually play this. I really hope that they add a duo mode so we can have 2 hiders and 10 seekers.
Can't wait to see the AR12 gang playing this when the update comes out. Forza devs cooked again.
