Welp, Fatalis BROKE the Meta - Armour Skills and Set Bonus Testing/Analysis | MHW Iceborne

Good grief, this set is amazing. I cannot explain clearly enough just how amazing these pieces are, and how fantastic the set bonusses are aswell. Say good bye to raging brachy, to masters touch, to basically everything. There is only black dragon armour, everything else might as well just give up now (frostcraft, safi and TCE excluded, MAYBE)

Doesn't matter if you're playing GS through to Bow, this set has something for you. Skill efficient individual pieces, every secret unlock set bonus in one skill (which I called ahead of time btw), as well as true razor sharp and true spare shot. Good grief

The fatalis hunt was hard, but this set was absolutely worth it. Can't wait to put divine blessing 5 on all my dps sets btw LMAOO

Spreadsheet info:

I have a spreadsheet which collects all sorts of data on Monster Hunter World Iceborne that people ask about a lot - things like the materials needed to upgrade the best charms (e.g. handicraft, expert etc), a list of all the guiding land monster drops and gathering nodes (plus it's searchable), what materials you need for every possible augment (attack, affinity, defence, health, slot, element/status) in the game, etc:

It also includes things like a list of ALL the 4 slot decorations (including even the rare 12 ones which ONLY drop from sealed feystones) so you know the best deco's to aim for when farming. It even has detailed images for the guiding land gathering nodes (the one's that drop materials like the guiding dragonbones/crystals etc) which you need for custom weapon upgrades/augments!
My list of guiding land drops can be sorted either by drop type (so it finds the monster to fight for a particular part) or you can use it to just find the parts belonging to any monster (no more pulling your hair out over how to get those Enchanting Finehide/Trancehide for your health augments!). This goes up to and includes the tempered elders (speaking of which, check out my 5 slot tempered investigation farming macro if you haven't already!)
It also has a Safi'Jiiva relic checklist to easily monitor which awakened weapons you're missing from the new siege!

Handicraft is preety good now, imo, talking about raw, having fatalis weapon with that little raw handi in welcomed. I do prefer 3 handi+ true razor sharp

This is the first time I’ve actually been able to rock a monsters entire gear set and I love it. Fatalis armor is gorgeous and the black fatalis blade is the definition of broken strong. Also it does dragon damage and I’m so happy because I love dragon element so much man. When you wear it next to your palico it’s so funny because it looks like you’re gonna fight a tiny fatalis. Well done Capcom, just well done.

I run full fatalis and gem in full divine blessing, maximum might, and max affinity, max evade window and some other comfort skills like gobbler and free meal. This is the most broken armor I could have ever asked for lmfao

idk when velkhana gamma came out but the helmet makes a good sub for the fatalis helmet, then run a safi weapon and for crit ele

Today I completed my Fatalis Armor set with it's LS. Handicraft is indeed a niche skill, but for Fatalis Weapons it's really good if not necessary. Due to little sharpness and no masters touch handicraft helps a lot to maintain purple sharpness.
You don't really need level 5, 3 is enough since we got True Razor Sharp

I would like to add that the arms piece alpha will be really useful for all the melee Fatalis weapons since they have a tiny sliver of purple sharpness and incredibly high raw. Paired with the 4 piece set bonus you may never need to sharpen.

Raging legs would be pointless though, weakness exploit is already lvl3 if equipping the alpha waist

I disagree with you about the alpha helmet, its trash even if you wanna use the guard skill, just go with beta and use guard/anything else lv 4 jewels. Also, the alpha leggins are, in most cases, better than the beta.
Anyway, here's the build that I came up with for LS
You can swap the destroyer/prot for anything else if you don't care about breaking the monsters parts, I suggest phoenix/prot if the monster can apply blight or handicraft/prot if you want more sharpness
