You need to get youra checked. The suction is so good on mine that my 6-year-old carpet almost looks new again. And I have two dogs and three cats. I can actually see my footprints in the carpet again.

I bought a reconditioned rainbow for $500 25 years ago. I have changed the belt in the beater bar ONCE. That is the only maintenance I have done in all those years. About 5 years ago i returned to the shop i bought it from and told them my story. The owner was not surprised! It is a fantastic vacuum! The suction is the most powerful on the market in my opinion and the are tops at cleaning. You will be amazed at the dirt it sweeps up. It turns clean water into mud! Since the water in the reservoir is the "bag" in a traditional vacuum, you are emptying it after each use. Not a big deal to me considering how clean it gets things. You can set it in the middle of the room and run it without the house to clean the air. This is by our machine if you have allergies. My neighbor always borrowed it for spring cleaning.

The demo of it sold me several years ago when I saw the shelf and dust that was going through a HEPA filter in any other vacuum back out into my room versus the rainbow which captures 100% of all of it because it goes through water and can’t come back out. Maybe I’m a clean freak but I don’t like cleaning my house only the thrill have the dust back out into the room again.

Yea I get the hose kinda as I have an area with lots of corners to go around. But as for everything else I love my rainbow it cleans better than any other vacuum could even think about. You may have run the filter without water in basin maybe your hero’s filter needs replaced!

Not suction, airflow. Lots of people think it's suction it's actually air flow, is it possible that your hoses clogged

Maybe clean the bottom of your vacuum out there’s a clip that you can squeeze and sometimes it gets clogged. I’ve had my rainbow for 2 years I own a cleaning service and it’s by far the BEST all my clients want me to use it at their homes… but sometimes the bottom part of the vacuum itself will get clogged and sometimes the hose does too. I have spent many nights cleaning mine from getting clogged but once I unclog them, they work better than any brand new namebrand, vacuum cleaner I’ve ever bought.

Not true! I'm using the SAME Rainbow my mom bought over 30 years ago. It had been in storage, so I got it out and used it on just my throw rugs and the water was filthy even after 4 times. I have bare floors and UT works amazing on floors and furniture. It can also be used as a STEAM CLEANER for quick spills or rooms of carpet. I bought a $400 SHARK and it has the same hose that is a bitch to pull....THATS JUST WITH ANY VACUUM!! How many vacuums, spot cleaners and steam cleaners would we buy in 30 years? The suction is obviously top shelf or else I wouldn't have been getting filthy dirty water after vacuuming throw rugs.

Rainbow is the only vacuum that works buddy as far as the price you get what you pay for good things aren’t cheap and cheap things aren’t good

...I'd like to see the vacuum you are comparing this thing to if you say your suction is terrible... We own a shark and a rainbow. I can 100% say the shark is only going to come out occasionally from now on after buying the rainbow. The shark doesn't pick up even half of what the rainbow does. Hell my large shop fac doesn't pick up half of what the rainbow does.

Also the shark doesn't purify the air.

I understand the price concern. The current ask on the rainbow is like 3400 after a discount. I got mine from Facebook marketplace for $600. And it works like a charm.
