'Morrison's lockdown': Albanese blames PM for Sydney COVID outbreak

Opposition leader Anthony Albanese is blaming Prime Minister Scott Morrison for Sydney's lockdown, saying the city wouldn't be under stay at home orders if not for the Commonwealth’s sluggish vaccination program.

“This Prime Minister needs to do more, this lockdown is Scott Morrison’s lockdown,” the Labor leader said.

“It’s a direct result of his failure to rollout the vaccine effectively and to have national quarantine facilities and he has an obligation to help those Australians who’ve been doing it tough today.”
