The Note8 is honestly the Rolls Royce of smart phones, its so underrated. I still have mine and it works perfectly and still feels like a brand new phone, can't believe its been 6 years

Still using my note 8 and very happy with it. bought it the day it came out.

Problems: maximum size of system memory area. total internal storage area. small area that is cracked from dropping it too much(but amazing how well it has managed over the years) quite a bit of burn-in on the screen with ghost icon images. Can no longer get security updates.

But, it run almost everything. Very stable. Microphone jack. micro-sd slot. great size. decent camera.

I have been contemplating upgrading. But, it's hard to justify replacing a working phone. I don't want to contribute more junk to the landfill unnecessarily or more labor to recycle whatever is possible to recycle. I will probably run it into the ground and keep back it up until it stops functioning. It was a very well designed phone.

Also, I love the S-Pen and I use it constantly. I'm glad that the galaxy line is continuing the option since the Note is gone. The Note didn't get the love that it deserved.

Its a great phone. Extemely durable. Dropped mine many times and the screen never cracked.

One of the best phones ever. I still have mine. I've had the front and back replaced 4 times. The motherboard is still operable like new.

I am a construction contractor, my Note 8 thin case has a magnetic back. It goes everywhere. Gets knocked off on concrete, tile floors, falls off the tailgate, ends up in the hot tub, toilet, you name it.
I run my business still from it. It takes great pics/videos, runs any software/apps I want with no lag.

After 5+ years now of heavy daily use, there is slight screen burn in. It also would be petty to complain about the battery life being diminished after 1, 700+ days of use.

Samsung built an amazing smart phone that 100% met my harsh demands. And it continues to do it, with it's head held high, year after year. 👍

I used the note 8 since 2019, it IMO is one of my best phones of all time, since it helped me get an upgrade from a 4 year old pass down note 5, stopped using it in 2022, and got the S20 ultra, still miss some parts of the Note 8, but yk, it's old now.

While I agree that I may buy a newer phone if my note 8 breaks, I truly do not see the point in upgrading it. It runs all the software I want, i dont care about gestures. In fact some newer phones have a worse screen. Ive a headphone jack and sd card slot. The camera may not take professional photos/videos, but they are still great looking and more than enough for everyday use. It can even do vr with samsung gear. So if your looking for a new phone then true a newer note might be better but until this breaks I'll be keeping it. :)

I bought this last 2019 and I owned it for 4 years before I upgraded to the Note 20 ultra. Very capable and reliable phone.

I actually think this phone is pretty good! It has lots of capability, excellent specs, except for the software (android 9), which is just a little old. I think it's a great backup and a great hand-me-down. It still performs really well and does the job done. I know many people still have that phone.

I remember seeing a few people I knew with this phone and lusting after it SO hard cause of how beautiful it was. I've always crushed on Samsung phones. Eventually got at Note 20 Ultra after dumping my LG V35. Using it now 😁

I bought mine in 2017 and have been using it from then. Only issue I face it that default audio does not work and I need to use it only with a bluetooth headphone or use it in speaker. Otherwise works like a charm

got a "like new " note 8 lol old one lasted for years and years and hope the "new"one will too
