Most guys get discouraged when they think about approaching a beautiful woman because of the options they may have. But that doesn’t have to be a reason.

Men are attracted to what they see.
It might seem like women have many options in dating, which is not entirely true. Women desire more than good looks to get attracted to a man, and that’s why women don’t approach or grant men access to sesame that easily. We have to filter through the guys that approach us to get a guy that will commit. Most women experience choice paralysis because they don’t know who is genuine and who acts like it.
You can make yourself her only choice by giving her what most guys haven’t been able to give. Build a genuine interest in her. It’s easy for a woman to reciprocate your actions and emotions than to initiate them. A woman will build interest in you if she believes you are genuinely interested in her.

Men are the hunters.
Whether you are banking on a cold approach or online, men still have to do the chasing. Guys feel they have limited options because most of them are not bold enough to approach any girl they like. When it comes to dating, most women take the passive seat because guys do the chasing. But we don’t accept any guy that comes along because of the obvious reasons. That can make a woman seem like they have many options when in the real sense they don’t. We have to wait for a guy we like to approach us, and that can be frustrating.

Guys have many options as long as they have the guts to pursue the woman they desire. Women give guys that approach them a fair chance if your first impression is impressive. You can increase your options by making yourself visible to women that you like.

Why does it seem like what mostly determines a man's attractiveness to women or his ability to get a girlfriend, is mostly social-skills based or social-behavior based, mental and emotional behavior based and conversation talents?

It has always seemed that a man's social behaviors or social skills, human interaction ability, interpersonal communication, understanding of social dynamics, has a much bigger impact on his dating life a lot more than the other way around.

I don't like it at all and I resent it, but sadly I know that is forever here to stay.

As for social programming, a part of me thinks or believes that it's in a woman's DNA or genetics to refuse to approach a guy, Express her interest bluntly or to initiate a relationship with a guy, even if she's really attracted to him or desires a certain guy.

A lot of men hate, resent being the hunters, but sadly there's no other way, for men, it's either hunt or get nothing.

This is a smart topic and I think it addresses a lot of the stuff that I've seen guys mention in the comments. Thinking women are privileged and have so many great options. Na. Maybe if women were the hunters and chased after the guys they wanted. But because they tend to be passive, they are stuck with the few hunters that have the balls to even approach. And often times, they are the jerks that women end up complaining about to the 'nice guys'. Perhaps if the better quality dudes would start approaching, women wouldn't be stuck having to pick from the few a$$holes that actually shoot their shot..
