Sanctuary - Joji (Cover)

It's been a while...

Thanks again to everyone who has supported and stuck by me while I've been out of the scene, and to those who have written really nice comments to encourage and remind me to get back into it.

As the title suggests, this is Sanctuary by Joji, another super talented artist who I am yet to find a song of his I don't like (and who I recently discovered is Filthy Frank). Instead of my go to harmonies I decided to play around with the Smart Strings on Garageband which, given I have no idea how to mix and master tracks, I thought was going to sound super tacky, but it actually turned out to be fairly genuine and warm sounding! Probably due to the beautiful composition of this song and the type of chords used which are hard to make sound bad...

Also want to apologise for the terrible camera focus. As I said, it's been a while and I've almost forgotten what my normal set-up, audio and camera settings are... If anyone has some tips for using a Canon G7X, please hmu!

I was just randomly clicking on various Joji covers and happened to click here. I don't usually comment on too many videos, but I just have to say....wow! I am blown away. I don't usually like too many cover videos or am very particular about how some people have the inability to replicate the emotions delivered in the original song. You have done it perfectly. The room in which you are singing in has amazing acoustics that compliment your flawless voice. I am very tempted to say that you did it better than Joji. I hope to hear more from you in the future.
