I just read it and I loved it so much. My thoughts were similar to yours throughout reading it! I really liked it and Charlie and Nora’s dialogue were making me laugh out loud. I enjoyed your video on it! It can be hard to find a good reading vlog because some people don’t even talk about what they like and don’t like and I like hearing lots of thoughts and opinions.

I just finished reading Book Lovers and value your thoughts. I agree on all of your points. As i was reading, I gave the book 3 stars, but as I got closer to the end, I found Emily Henry’s writing got more clever once Charlie and Nora hooked up. The end bumped it up to 3.5 stars. I believe this book is overhyped. Libby was annoying, Charlie’s character was flat, and i do not consider this a romance novel at all. I read half-Blown Rose before reading this one and that book is leveled up from Book lovers and it makes me sad that Half-Blown Rose is not getting the attention it deserves.

This was also my first Emily Henry book! I don't usually read romance, but I was also smiling throughout the story. Charlie was ok, but Libby was annoying. And Idk why people kept calling Nora a shark, she never did anything except work hard at her job!?

I’ve read all three and rated Beach Read 5/5, Book Lovers 4.5/5 and People We Meet On Vacation 4/5. I feel like Beach Read and Book Lovers are similar in the sense that they’re both “romance” books but they also have different plot lines surrounding the main character that give you like a deeper connection whereas pwmov is the one that’s mainly focused on the romance if that makes sense.

I loved book lovers, it was all vibes but I guess I can see why people were not enjoying it seeing how it’s labeled as a romance and that’s really a sub plot. But the only other Emily Henry book I’ve read is beach read and I also loved that one. So it’s really just up to you, I’m excited to read people we meet on vacation!
