COLONIAL REPERCUSSIONS - 'Indelible Imprints – The Everyday Presence of the Colonial Past in Berlin'

As part of the Symposium II “Performances of No-thingness” of the event series “Colonial Repercussions/Koloniales Erbe” at the Akademie der Künste, Berlin, on 26 and 27 May 2018, Joshua Kwesi Aikins, Political Science Scholar and member of Berlin Postkolonial e.V., will offer the workshop “Indelible Imprints – The Everyday Presence of the Colonial Past“.

By bus and by foot he will guide through sites across Berlin, revealing Germany’s colonial visual traces and proposing new critical ways of seeing and reading its history in the public space.
