R.I.P Carrol Shelby a true racing legend. Whenever I saw him it always made me proud to share his passion for cars and be a car guy. He was one of the most coolest car guys you can meet and his cars will go down as the most exotic on the planet.

I'm going to remember that story, when I walk past the 2009 GT 500 here in my german neighborhood, Jessi ...

Nobody other than you, could have captured the life of this legendary person better and more senisble.
Well done and huge respect from your german friend, Guido aka TheGetawayer

My dad and Carroll were bar buddies in Venice, CA in the '60s. For my 13th birthday my dad took me to the factory and he'd arranged for me to get a ride in a GT40 on their test track, 1967...the thrill of my life...until a ride in a Mclaren M8 Can-Am at Sears Point in '93, just four laps and I was left with bruises on my torso, but memories forever. Such a great, brilliant and kind man.

Rest in peace, Carrol. He truly is my idol, he lived such a full life and even when life hit him hard he never gave up his dream and passion for cars and speed until the very end. He took the best of europeen and american car worlds and combined it in some of the greatest vehicles the world has ever seen. He truly is a legend. I hope he never will be forgotten.
