George Pérez's top 5 most important works

George Pérez. Whether you know him from New Teen Titans, Crisis On Infinite Earths, JLA/Avengers, or as one of the man who reinvented Wonder Woman, it's impossible to not know his name as a comics fan. But, in this series, I will tell the story of his career through just five of his works!

I saw this idea on Rummy's Corner, and wanted to adapt it to the comics industry. A lot of work went into this one, and I just hope it was worth it!

I've read a couple on this list such as JLA avengers and Crisis on Infinite earths. Planning on picking up his WW run this year which has been on my to buy list for ages. Same with Titans.


What I love about perez is his ambition and the scope of his art.

My thoughts go out to his family.

The editing and music on this one was top notch. Genuinely one of my favourite videos from you.

Bless the late George Perez. Grew up with his comics. It is a shame both DC and Marvel did not treat him with the respect he deserved. He should have gotten the best inkers, the work schedule he needed. You can’t rush fine art.

But I have to disagree. Even though his layouts and story telling skills might be better as he aged, I think his art was best in the mid 80s as he was wrapping his run on The New Teen Titans and his Crisis series. I loved those unpublished Avengers/JLA pencil pages.

His best art are the 2 issues of New Teen Titans he drew and inked himself - issue 39 and vol 2 issue 1.
