The only person who makes any sense in this video is the dude with the ghost conjoined twin

Let’s be honest, where would DC be without Batman lol

DC can't survive without rebooting the same stale characters over and over again and the fact they had to re cut and re release JL is a hilarious fail along with WW84, Suicide Squad, Birds Of Prey and BVS. Looking forward to the re cut to see how much worse they make it

What pisses me off at the moment is companies delaying the release of them when they have platforms they can stream them on.

DC films are badly cast. Has anyone ever thought of that?

1:38 The movie that James is referring to is Batman Begins. Thanks Colton, Dennis, James, David, Anthony, or Sarah!

-What is the “this movie” that James is referring to? Who is the villain that trains the hero? Why would you guys cut a clip this lazily without including any context whatsoever?-

one word joker, doesn't require a sequel told an entire story

They were smart with Marvel. All the characters were modernized to reflect more the current times we are in...like Wolverine not wearing Yellow and black spandex and a goofy mask! DC made changes but kept the concept basically the same...making the characters kinda goofy! Not to mention that Batman and Superman, the only really good DC super heroes, keep getting recast! That makes it hard for anyone to invest emotionally as a viewer into the characters. Marvel has always been the best, way better characters, better stories, better actors etc. Stan Lee was the man hands down! RIP The best part was how they took Spiderman and brought in the other actors from the past movies to tie them in...the Spiderverse. That was smart! As a viewer and a fan, that alone took my interest into the movie and amplified it!

If they stuck true to the material, did maybe a Justice League international with a new casting director, and a comic book angle it may have a chance. Live action such as THE TICK (warburn run) and most recently Cowboy Bebop nailed a certain look. lighting, sets, etc.. They tried to drag all the characters into Gotham, using WB and tv style conversations that were written like a bad Dick Tracy adaptation, or written directly to please a demographic for the outcome of sales, versus take risks to produce well thought out content for future planning of storytelling. In addition, the humor (if any) is off and self serving better than everyone attitude all the characters have about themselves, it just doesn't work. There are no redemptions, character arc's or feelings of familiarity of at all with what's on paper versus what they tried to put on the screen. They need to start looking IN BETWEEN the characters and the inner workings, not just a known face in a suit. They make great cartoons, the heaviness of the dialog works in contrast to the seriousness of the characters with violent outbursts of intent and clarity while moving the story along. Dc relies heavily of side characters to tell the stories and has expectations, but doesn't adapt well to live action flesh and blood. I am just one man, and this is my random not thought out Opinion.

Superman 1 and 2, Batman, Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, Batman Beyond: Return of the Joker, Batman Begins The Dark Knight, Joker, Hellboy (Original), Hellboy 2, Blade. All great movies in their own universe. I'd argue for Logan being in its own universe too with how little it draws from all the other films. I don't think any of the best comic book films are in the MCU or DCEU. Pretty much the opposite.

They could try anything but stereotype heroes. A hero is not a profession but a title given by people after heroic deeds.

Don't care about the Star Wars Extended Universe. If it didn't come out on the big screen it's not worth the discussion as cinema.

I also start to laugh whenever Zack Snyder's name is mentioned. My guy is all style no substance. Basically, he's gothic JJ Abrams.

Trying to mimic the success of others is the sign you don’t know what the fuck you’re doing as a creative person. You shouldn’t be getting paid to make DC content more like marvel because the MCU did so well. It’s like thinking you can beat Burger King by opening your own burger restaurant and giving out paper masks instead of crowns.

In my opinion, the best two superhero movies are one-offs. Logan and Joker that is.

Why DC movies suck so bad: most of those movies are designed to sell toys and playcate Manchilds: just look at Josh Wheaton.
Ever watch “The Boys” TV Show? Marvel and Star War movies aren’t good either.
The only good Superhero movie is “The Dark Knight”.
