Met police apologises over undercover officers

Scotland Yard has apologised "unreservedly" to seven women who were deceived into manipulative relationships with undercover police officers over a period of years.

The MET is dirty to the core.
It is now 2021 and the report into the handling of the Daniel Morgan is absolutely scathing of the MET's handling of it.
They have stated it as "Institutionally Corrupt".

The police appologise, but refuse to release information, so many other victims of this vile practice will never know.

That the met even thought this was appropriate demonstrates endemic immorality. Just shows that the police decisionmakers have forgotten all sense of wrong and right.

So the victims of the grooming gangs should get an apology in about 25 yrs.

Let's not forget that some members of Greenpeace have been labelled terrorists. I don't know whether that label is justified, but would ANYONE here balk at female officers getting intimate with the recent ISIS terrorists if it offered a chance to stop the killings in Paris, or weaken the organisation?

It seems to me that the problem was that these officers did this for their own gratification, not that having these sort of sleeper relationships is innately immoral.
