SO I went from Groundskeeper/Porter with a Property Management company to Maintanence at a farily run down place. I was quickly put in for plumbing related problems (everyone here has a specialty) and I found your channel a go-to for questions I have had on things. I want to thank you for simply existing here to share your expertise and broaden my range of skills to help me make my tenants happy. Just recently got a Propress tool for 1/2"-3/4" piping (I hate sharkbites with a passion) based on your videos thus bringing my plumbing jobs to a new level. Keep those videos coming, sir. You'll always have someone from Oklahoma watching them

Hey Roger, just want to say thanks for the videos. I've been a plumber for almost 8 years now. In the last year or so I had lost my enthusiasm for the trade. However watching how passionate you are about plumbing is starting to rub off on me and I'm starting to enjoy it again.

Thank you for these videos. As a commercial farmer, I cant make profit paying someone else for my repairs. I have over a mile of plumbing I maintain and that's only what's above ground. Your videos have helped me learn the vocabulary of the industry. And also show how good of a teacher my late father was. He was a first gen farmer who decided his welding career wasnt his dream. And he taught me well, but knowing the names of materials, parts, and techniques was not one of the areas of expertise. So I now feel better knowing what I'm asking for at a hardware store.

I'm not a plumber, but I end up doing a LOT of plumbing repairs in my line of work. The BEST plumbing tool I've used us the Knipex "Pliers Wrench". It's basically Channel Lock pliers with smooth jaws like a wrench. It's a cross between a Crecent wrench and Channel Locks. A Crecent wrench can sometimes slip when bearing down on it. The Knipex Pliers Wrench squeezes tighter the harder you bear down on it. It's not exactly cheap at 50-60 bucks, but it's DEFINITELY worth it if you need an adjustable wrench for plumbing fittings and fixtures. If you use Channel Locks but the teeth mar or damage the fixture, these Knipex work PERFECTLY on that. 👍

I watch this channel way back befor covid and wanted to get into the trade after losing my job and hitting rock bottom I randomly got a text from my dad saying his friend needed a helper it turns out he was a open shop plumber! Now I’m in the trade still struggling a bit but super optimistic for the future I love my job and the work we do. I want to thank this channel for the knowledge I have gained it really helped a lot !!! -zak from San Antonio Texas

Thanks for the video. It has taken me years to perfect my main walk-in toolbag and tools. And, it slowly evolves over time. It's a 19" with *all of my tools stand upright*; using the many pockets (with plastic inserts), two silverware trays from dishwasher machines and toothbrush storage tubes. If I have to go to the truck, it's usually only for power tools and/or bigger tools. I love my tool bag. It's made me a LOT of money by helping me do jobs faster, better, and smarter.

Im just a DIYer but I love my multi bit screw driver set. I don't have to carry around a bunch of screw drivers, just flip the bit.

I totally agree with everything in this video however from personal experience i am not a fan of those dewalt pliers. My back pocket pliers are a set of Channel Lock 440s and they will outgrip the dewalt ones no questions asked.

Hey Roger, I am new to your channel and completely agree with your mentality as a plumber and general tradesman. . . Honestly, I do not do plumbing as a profession but I have worked as a maintenance man and handy man. I have always told myself, " if you don't have time to do it right. When are you going to have time to do it again?" With that being said your videos are excellent. Thank you for these.
Furthermore, on the shark bites, I would like to say I have used them but i personally NEVER left one of these in for more then 2 weeks while trying to find a part. I used to have fellow maintenance workers tell me, "oh yeah, I rebuilt the shower value with them and sealed the surround back up and its been fine."
Once i heard that I put in a ticket for the unit and redid the job in copper. I was let go from that job because of my job costs. Honestly, I was happy to leave being that was the issue. . .

I refuse to do bad work because someone doesn't want to pay for it to be done proper. My name on something is worth more then your savings.

If you ever need a residential garage door question answered please feel free to reach out to me. I will put it to you straight sir.

Just wanted to thank you for some really good tips. I have a washingmachine that ''broke'' 3 times in 1 year time of use. Everytime I had to pay around 150 to 185 euros to get it fixed. and everytime the repairman would claim it was just badluck. because of your video's I noticed a few stupid choises made when the machine got installed ( flexible hose with ridges. a water-pipe that went straight up instead of flush. I remove this and replaced it and now the machine is working perfectly fine. It simply would clock because of the hose and it didn't have enough water pressure to push all the nasty stuff upwards).

I have no clue why I've subscribed to a plumbing channel. I'm not a tradesman, I'm already on a completely different career path. But I just love watching these videos and I'm learning a ton about something I had almost no knowledge on. Thumbs up.

Channel locks, level, tape measure and a 6 in 1 screwdriver. I can do most jobs with these tools.
