I have mild learning difficulties but growing up in care, social services have always given me different labels and this makes me feel judged. Although I have improved my development, they still see me as a vulnerable young adult which I understand but I have shown them how I can keep myself safe. They fully see the improvement because they I’ll think I never change. I struggle with maths and problems with my English grammar so they don’t understand what I’m saying. Every time I tell I’m improving, I don’t think they agree with me to the certain extent. Socialising with people has improved and I do often get shy but that’s normal. My learning difficulties doesn’t affect my social skills . They are there to help but they want to put labels on young people which is why I want to discharge myself from them.
