of all the series i’ve been obsessed with throughout the years, Hunger Games was one of the few my mom actually latched on. we read all the books and went to see the movies the week they premiered. we’re still nerds for it to this day. i live across the country now and she called a month ago to tell me she was marathoning the movies on HBO and making my dad watch them 😂

i actually did practice archery occasionally before the movies, plus i lived almost right next to one of the filming locations (shoutout to my bestie at the time whose backyard was part of the film), so you can imagine how excited i was when it came out lol you BET i played that shit up and acted like the coolest kid ever
