Nice, put a red spotlight or any color light "behind" the falling character, dim the light at the first 2 sec and gradually turn up the light's brightness as he/she falls further down or move the color light towards the fallen character, create the illusion of movement/motion in the vertical direction/falling.

As an addition, film the fallen character as his/her body rotates and showing his/her face as he/she faces the color light and he/she open his/her eyes and the eyes gradually become pupilless/plain white eyes like a demonic gargoyle as he/she screams but his/her screams turn into a demonic low freq combo sound of a bor, lion and goat.
