It always made me shiver that River didn't know Donna. She knew of her, but didn't know her personally. Being a companion of the doctor, it's never permanent, and it always seems to end in two ways. Death, or heartbreak... Many times, the two coinciding.

The 10th doctor truly mastered sci-fi horror. Episodes like blink, silence in the library, water on Mars, turn left, and generally any cyberman story haunted my dreams as a kid. The only thing that tops them is the doctor dances and the empty child!

I don't know how Alex Kingston had that deep sight when talking to the Doctor. This was her first time in the Who universe and this Doctor wasn't her Doctor. She is a freaking amazing actress.

2:20 I was never a fan of Steven's writing for Rose, and we never really saw him write for Martha. But _God_ does that man know how to write Donna!

I remember, when Catherine was first recasted for Series 4, Russell expressed his worries over how writers will just give her comedy, not playing into Catherine's unmatched range. "Not Steven, he'll be fine", Russell said.
