This is why I braid my own hair.

Exactly why I don't my OWN hair!!! I apply my yarn over small/med uber-moisturized twists and my hair stays in tact!!!

This is very good to know. I'm 29, and I don't typically keep my hair in braids, but when I do, they're kind of tight. This last go around I had done some goddess braids on myself, and I had noticed that after a couple of days, I had bumps on the edges of my braids closest to my side burns. I immediately thought they may be way too tight. But I would have never thought this could be an indication of potential hair loss. Thank you for the info

Okay so I’m good, I just had my hair in braids in for about a week now for the first time ever but after I took them out I noticed that I was shedding quite a bit. I had no bumps on my head. But tbh the shedding concerned me a lot but my step dad said it’s normal for that to happen and I’m just making sure I won’t go bald later in life lol 🤣
