When the book "100 Authors against Einstein" was published to disprove General Relativity, Einstein replied: "To defeat relativity one did not need the word of 100 scientists, just one fact.."

As Einstein's prominence grew due to the success of his theories, a wave of opposition emerged. The emerging political movement at the time saw an opportunity in targeting relativity, labeling it as "Jewish physics." Conferences were sponsored, and events like book burnings were orchestrated to discredit Einstein and his theories. Influential physicists, including Nobel laureates Philipp Lenard and Johannes Stark, were recruited by this movement to oppose Einstein. In 1931, a publication titled "One Hundred Authors Against Einstein" was released. When questioned about this widespread criticism of relativity, Einstein responded by suggesting that defeating relativity required not the support of numerous scientists, but rather just one compelling fact.
