In this video I am showing you how to achieve a nice winged eyeliner look with your eyes OPEN. My mistake back in the days would be, being to focused on how my eyeliner looked with my eyes closed. At the end of the day we're not walking around with our eyes closed all day so it makes more sense to focus on how it looks with your eyes open. And this is how EVERYTHING should be done on the eyes (liner, shadow placement, brows, false lashes...): *Oppened eyes, look straight forward, don' t pull the skin, don' t move a single muscle*

Never thought of this technique, makes sense. When your eyes close it stretches and when you open it constricts, making makeup look crooked. This tutorial really helped, especially after 60

Awesome tutorial and I love your *tips and notes. I have done cat-eye liner forever, but now I am more *mature and of course, your eye hoods get worse. Only thing I would add for us mature ladies is not putting powder on your lids, especially if they are dry. I'm still looking to see what I could use to seal. Definitely trying this technique! This is an old video ans I wish I had found it before!! It's been YEARS since I started looking for a solution for my - always more and more - hooded eyelid.. But nothing did really work and I was so disappointed I decided not to wear eyeliner anymore. I saw this video and just tried randomly... TWO PERFECT WINGS! Another way to do it so it looks perfect both open AND closed is to swoop the line right below where your hood crease ends then wing it out horizontally towards your temple instead of angling it up toward your eyebrow. By doing this you avoid the weird bat wing shape and it looks amazing. If you have extremely hooded eyes you can point the wing downward slightly to do what is called "puppy liner."
