Indonesia is a country with only 2 seasons in a year, which is why back then, before the entire world turned up side down because of the pandemic, high season is only during the dry season - between May/June to September. October usually is what we called Panca-roba, the month in between dry and rainy season where the weather can be really unpredictable. and November is the start of rainy season, usually goes on up to late March. April will be just like October. I hope this info can help any of you who plan a visit to Indonesia. another advice, be really vigilant if you are visiting waterfalls or or any creek and river in highlands during rainy season (in any part of Indonesia) because when it starts to rain, unpredictable flash flood or landslide might happen - not always but it's better to be vigilant as nature itself is very unpredictable.

Sorry but I just spent 2 months in Bali, October and November, and only had 1 day of my activities rained out. That was when I visited the central part of the island. I stayed in Sanur and though there were days we had rain it was mostly at night or afternoon. A couple of times had to delay going out for dinner till rain stopped but usually less than an hour wait. Even days we did have rain there were indoor things to do so not staying in hotel. I felt the humidity was a lot less than in dry season, we could walk on beach at 8-9pm and not be covered in sweat. Maybe my experience was not the norm but I would never recommend not coming to Bali at any time of the year.

Thank you for this video. My wife was actually stressed out that we were going to be visiting from mid to late March (just over two weeks), but this has given us some reason to be hopeful. While we know we'll see rain (some days more than others), we will also be able to enjoy our vacation by looking for those 'holes' and breaks in the weather. Great videos btw, so helpful! Cheers

Rain is what makes Bali beautiful. We were there in June-July and saw many rainy days, and back last month and had lots of sunny days. And we were mostly in Ubud. The weather is changing all over the world, so I am not sure we can be definite as to when is rainy season exactly. Either way, come to Bali anytime, it is wonderful.

Didn't watch the video, but I can say that I actually prefer rainy season over dry season. Only if you're planning to visit for 1 week I guess you could reconsider visiting Bali/Java between November-March if you only want sunny days, however if you're planning to for at least 2 weeks there will be plenty of sunny days in between some of the 'rainy' days. But even the 'rainy' days aren't too bad.

lots of Indian influence can be found in Indonesia even today. picture of Lord Ganesha, one of the most popular deity in India is inscribed on the 20, 000 rupiah note of Indonesia. Indian currency also called Rupiah in Hindi. Indonesian Airlines is called Garuda which is an Indian deity. lots of ancient Hindu and Buddhist temples getting unearthed in Indonesia. Bali is an Indian name. Bali has 87% Hindu population. In past whole Indonesia was Hindu but now Hindus are left in Bali only.

Lived out here for 8 years. Each rainy season is different for the concentration of rains and even start and finish months.

Good on you guys for being honest about it. I think alot of people wont provide it because it might make them feel a bit sheepish. I've spent alot time in ubud, mostly around march/april/may and it is wonderful. A few morning showers but thats about it. So hopefully you make it back there in the new year. take care.

Watched this video several months ago but I’m in Bali right now (jan 2024). Been here for 2 weeks and only rained on twice. It only rained for 1hr max other than when there was a thunderstorm overnight. Spent 4 days at ubud and it hasn’t rained either. Not to discredit the video, it’s all true, but you can get lucky too!

Hello! 2 days ago I went back from Bali (I spent there more than 2, 5 weeks) and the weather was - GREAT! Not much rain, only during the night (during the day - ocasionally but the rain was so gentle that it was like salvation during a hot day!
For me balance between rain and sun is so good during holidays! I never felt to much humidity as you mentioned during the video.
Of course, I was there to visit all the places, not laying on the beach and! another advantages for coming on Bali during wet season - there is not many tourist and additional fees! This is sooo good!
I can`t imagine what happens on Bali during the sunny season :D definitely come back during rainy season :)

It really is unpredictable. Last week I got drenched by the rain on several days coming home from work. Finally bought a decent poncho over the weekend, and then this week no rain, just got drenched with sweat instead.
