I definitely thought Bali was overrated but didn't have enough time to explore the northern areas. Ubud was awesome though. Definitely will look for more off the beaten paths next time! And I agree the people were so nice 🥹

Being overrated isnt the problem with bali. The problem is that overdevelooment degraded the island's charm and natural beauty.
Excessive resort development brought urbanization and nature destruction.
I dont tell people where i travel now or they will do this to the places i go to.
