My wife and I visited Nara park on our honeymoon this year because we saw this video and had to see it for ourselves! Nara was one of my favorites of all the places we visited. The park is HUGE, and the city was surprisingly lively. We spent most of our day hiking around the park, visiting the pagodas and shrines, walking around the great Buddha hall, and exploring the streets of the city. Well worth the two hour train ride from Kyoto!

Japan has a Rabbit Island a cat Island and now a deer park..Japan seems to be very animal friendly, and a great place to live if your a animal lover. UPDATE..They have a Fox Village too!

I love this area of japan. I stayed there a long time ago with a school trip and exchange program and have felt like I never left over the years. The experiences there definitely stayed with me. Thanks for sharing this - lovely video.

So cute. So different. It is really fascinating that those Deers have good manners as the Japanese culture expect others to reciprocate their gestures. Being there would be really rejuvenating and will bring inner peace to oneself. I would love to be there.

My heart, deer are my favorite animals and it made me smile so much to see a place where people can give attention and love to deers. I wish my place where I lived had a deer sanctuary ❤️

Yes!!! This was a major highlight of my trip. I hadn't even planned it initially but I'm so glad I got to go. The deer were so lovely and Todaiji was so breathtaking I seriously recommend it to anyone who is traveling in Japan.
