If mass is always constant why do we define it by grams? For all I know, if I weight an object in the earth and the balance says 1 gram, then I weight it in the moon and the balance says it weights considerably less than a gram.
If i wanted to calculate the density of the same object in both places I would get different values. Yet, density should be the same in both places.
So, what is exactly a gram and how do we calculate it?

I don't know if this question even makes sense... Hopefully it does and you can answer me 😅
