"The greater the matter of an object, the greater it's volume". I think this is incorrect. Given two objects, one can have greater mass than the other, but still having less volume. Am I missing something?

The challenge is that there is no definition for matter, which makes mass definition very fuzzy

If were referring to the object then why would the water increasing affect the volume if the space the object is occupying isn't changing on the outside. The space INSIDE the object occupied increases but not the space outside. someone help me understand
