This was a departure song. My then boyfriend dedicated it to me when I broke up with him. I didn’t realize it then, that it was love I was feeling for the first time . I had been in abusive relationships, and for the first time, someone loved me, and I tossed it. I tossed it like trash. I regret it now, and here I am years later, can’t move on from him emotionally. I get stuck in the twilight zone hearing this. I am pained, but a lesson well learned, I do deserve to be love. Everyone comes into a life for a reason, not everyone is meant to stay, thank you Zach ❤️

This song has been so meaningful to me, and will continue to be for the rest of my life. I listend to it while my Mum was in the hospital, while I watched over her, while I spent our last days and hours together, and still while I'm trying to process saying goodbye to this marvellous Woman in my life, without ever having been able to really say goodbye to each other. It makes me feel lost and comforted at the same time, this music. Thank you, Mumford and Sons, for giving me music to soften the mourning.
