I installed Debian 12.1 on a second NVME SSD on a Dell Precusion 7530 UEFI laptop but I can't get it to boot. I installed Grub2Win on the Windows 10 drive and tried booting Linux but am getting the error message "error: file vmlinuz not found. You must first load the kernel." Any suggestions on how to fix this?

i have Debian 12 @Fossman Media i really hate the activities button and yearn for a windows 7 like desktop experience orr jus be able to see my snapd icons ora any icons on the desktop at least .. Anyway i can achieve this without the obvious other image ?

I tried to install it at an "external SSD" (a SATA connected through USB), and the installer did something nasty to EFI partition of the computer, so the Debian-based Linux (BunsenLabs) stopped booting. (The win10 still boots, but it has been broken for a while already.)
Anyway, I was intending to install a newer BunsenLabs 👽

After your last video on this, I tried it out on a VM. It still has a pretty antiquated vibe but I like it. Recommended it to a friend. Think I will use it as a VM host for GPU passthrough gaming - it's a nice stable base that will provide a full desktop to fall back on, if I kill my VM.

Glad you got most of the issues you faced figured out... I am really liking this release so far and its what I have switched my servers over to, I used to use Ubuntu but I don't like the direction they are going with snaps. So far this release of Debian has been great for me. I do agree with your criticism's of gnome though, even though I do not use Linux on the desktop, every OS seems to be getting these huge rounded buttons, windows... etc. I believe they are trying to copy a mobile UI and I just don't think its fit for desktop

Hopefuly you will get peace with new Debian 12, give it some time and it will be amazing. Debian is always great.
