-- Hope VS. Wish –

Do you know the difference?

Watch this short 60 second video focused on the difference.

Hope – When you want to think positively but the situation in the future is still uncertain.
*For Example: I hope that I get an A on my test!

Wish – When the situation is impossible unrealistic or from the past.
*For Example: I wish I could fly.

We can use hope for the realistic possibility in future time. We have to use it for the positive vibes. We use it for our positive expectations. For instance, I hope you will be successful for your destination. And we use wish for the unreal situation for the first time. That means if I want to say that clearly when there is no hope when there is something for regret, that time we use wish. For example, I wish you were here today.
It is impossible to stay here for today My target person. This is why I use "wish."
