Inflammation and Schizophrenia

Hi, thanks for watching this video about Inflammation and Schizophrenia.

This talk focuses on observations that excessive or misdirected inflammatory responses can cause symptoms of psychosis. There are numerous examples of autoimmune illnesses causing symptoms that closely resemble schizophrenia. It’s also clear that chronic inflammation is not only a risk factor for developing schizophrenia, but also can negatively impact the clinical course of people with schizophrenia.

An unresolved dilemma is whether inflammation is a contributing factor to schizophrenia – or whether “inflammatory psychosis” is a distinctly different illness that produces symptoms more or less identical to classically-defined schizophrenia.
Another unsettled question is the extent to which inflammation-reducing drugs are likely to help people with schizophrenia. If so, is this a benefit that can be expected by anyone with schizophrenia? Or would the benefit only apply to those with blood tests that show an inflamed state.

These are important questions in light of numerous case reports of psychosis being caused by over-the-counter anti-inflammatory medications such as aspirin, indomethacin, ibuprofen, etc.

My infant son (1966) was diagnosed by Mayo Clinic to have dermatitis herpetiformis. We treated him the only way we knew for gluten intolerance, gam globin and a wheat free diet. I will NEVER, EVER forget what the doctor said once it was cleared it (two years later). He told me to watch out for it to return because it can be a forerunner to heart disease, diabetes, and madness/schizophrenia. I was only 20 years old and unaware. His disease didn't return, however my dear sweet only child was diagnosed at 17 with schizophrenia. He is now 57 and is severely afflicted. Over the years of trying to help him, I've told doctor after doctor (anyone who would listen) about my experience and watched as their eyes glossed over and I was dismissed. Thank you for validating what I have known in my gut all along. He was a wonderful child. At his age now, there is no control over his diet. All is out of my control, but hopefully someday

I have read a case of a guy who had leukemia and schizophrenia, his autoimmune system.was "rebooted" and now the symptoms are cleared. In the same like another person received bone marrow from a brother with schizophrenia and he developed the illness. Could Crisper cas9 or other gene editing techniques help? How far is humanity from a cure o better treatment? May antibodies be programmed to attack microglia which seems to be connected as well?? So many questions

Can someone prescribed me my pills please? I don't want to hallucinate and hear voices. I'm on Ohio Medicaid and currently moved to Florida I have one refill left. It take three or more months to see a doctor.
