I had tears in my eyes and heart watching this. That poor innocent child crying all day for her mom who had died of a heart attack who she was thinking was just asleep. Thank God that the officer was the one that found her and decided to take her home with her. God Bless the officer and her husband for adopting her soon after . They tried for yrs to have a child and now they have a beautiful little girl. And then surprisingly they found out after they were going to have their own baby to. I'm sure they will all be a very happy family of 4now. May God Bless them all

This brought tears of joy to my 65 year old eyes. I can imagine what little Maggie felt about her mom, mine was killed when I was 12 and I know how I felt. Glad somebody cared for her for an adoption.

The same thing happened to me after my aunt died from an accidental drug overdose, my cousin found her lifeless on her bed and thought she was just asleep, she called the cops and they came to get the both of them- luckily my parents took her in but didn’t know how to tell her the truth- they just told her, “Mommy is with God.” That was years ago, once my cousin turned 15, my parents told her everything and she understood, she’s just glad they told her the truth since back then she couldn’t understand. This story however touched my heart and showed me that there’s still good people in this world.

I can only imagine how scared Maggie was for her mother and at the same time I can't imagine any child having to grow up without a Mom. I don't cry very often, but when I do it's often after hearing about stuff just like this. Nancy has so much love in her heart, she's the perfect second mother for Maggie.

This 5 year old kid is really hopeful, and knows her mommy will be better and was just sleeping. Just bringing this new that her mom is gone to little Maggie is just heart-breaking. All those memories spent with her just gone. No future memories to cherish with her mom.. She only had like 5 years with her parents until her dad died, then her mom. Basically 5 years with her real parents until the cop decided to adopt her..I don't even have the words to describe my feelings for Maggie.

No child should have to go through this, and im thankful to still have my family safe with me.
