Haha this happened to me almost every week and i decided to quit, but i was addicted to drawing so i couldnt stop

Art is not something to give up, I never had the feeling of quitting because it's just for losers, even if you give it up, you don't know you still doing art, but in a different way, so my tip is:
When you hate your art and you're not yet done drawing, be patient and finish it because it might turn out good in the end
When you hate your finished art, add more designs or redo something that makes it bad :)
And never listen to hate comments, if you encounter one, I will be your shield :)

Thank you so much for making this.I feel very often sad and discouraged about my art.I think that i will never be good enough or i will compare my self with other amazing artist's and i will feel very bad for myself that i'm not so good as them.I just have and everyone else who feels this way to be patience and think how much we love what we do so thank you again for your advices and tips I think that everyone has a very own and unique style we just have to practise enough and beleive in our selves. :) Also I want to mention that i love your art and please never stop what are you doing because you are really amazing! <3

This is very relatable! I never feel 100% happy with my art. I always felt everyone drew better than me. But at one point I felt that my art was improving. Thank you for talking about this.

This is exactly what im going through right now. Every time i try to draw im so dissatisfied with the result, despite the effort and time i put into it. I dont think i'll ever quit art but i just havent feel motivated to draw for months now and its so frustrating. Why wont my hand do i want it to. I have a perfect image in my head and when i try to transfer the image in my head to paper i struggle, so i tend to use references a lot, but i still hate the way it turns out. Any advice?

When I first started drawing manga, I wanted to give up. I soon found your channel and quickly got back into drawing and coloring☺. At one point I distanced myself from drawing. Whenever i started my drawings, i was extremely dissatisfied. To me, they always looked bad.😳 Only a few months ago was when i learned that not everyone can make perfect drawings. I draw frequently now and learn how i can improve my drawing instead of hating it😁. Thank you for putting this video up!

There have been so many times where I wanted to quit drawing... and recently I actually did for three days, but then I started drawing again. When I first joined deviantart I was either 15 or 16 and I would get constructive criticism too, but I would welcome it.

The problem was with the people that would comment on my drawings and say rude things (basically telling me I wasn't good at drawing) and I took that to heart to where I eventually just deleted my account.

I've recently made a new account and post as frequently as I can, although I do kind of hate the fact that I'm basically starting over again because I did make a couple of friends on my old account.

Unfortunately I'm still pretty hard on myself when it comes to mistakes I make (and I especially think back on those comments about me not being good at drawing, wondering if they were right), but I'm working on being a little nicer to myself ^_^

Thanks Beka - Excellent tips and relevant topic for all artists! As an art community we need to help one another grow through kind and constructive criticism. One's art journey cannot be rushed or you'll sacrifice quality in favor of quantity. Everyone's style is unique and everyone's creativity is fully unleashed when they are confident and value their style. Like these drawings too - it finally confirmed my suspicions that Robin Hood is Brayson and Lancelot is Chase:)

I know that feeling. I went through a phase where i hated my art to the point i couldnt draw a full face anymore. I gave up but then a kind lady helped me and she told me keep drawing and to not be mean to myself. I tried and it was hard but then i ended up drawing something i was really proud of. Im glad she helped me because without her i dont think i would have drawn again.☺

In doing art this happens alot to me, even though I groan on drawing I keep continuing even if it's hard, because well idk it's a hate-love feeling

And I'm glad you didn't gave up :)
Of course there is going to be many artist who has far better experience, but they practiced for where they are. So if you just draw as hard as them and one day you'll be as good as them ;)
