To clear one thing, The Dark Knight trilogy might not be a part of the main dceu continuity, but still those movies are dc movies and to understand batman watching those movies is mandatory.

FUN FACT: Every DC movie with joker till now has won at least 1 oscar. Batman 1989, The Dark Knight, Suicide Squad and Joker. The Batman is sure to join the list for it's tremendous cinematography and music

First of all watch Nolan's batman to understand the character,
1)Batman Begins (2005)-origin story of batman
2)The Dark Knight (2008)-a direct sequel to Batman Begins.
3)The Dark Knight Rises (2012)- tells about events that are happening 8 years after the events of The Dark Knight . This is the final movie of Nolan's Batman.

Real order to watch DC extended universe movies and shows are :
1)Man of Steel(2013)-the first movie of DCEU . The origin story of Superman.
2)Batman v Superman:Dawn of Justice Ultimate edition (2016)- happens after 18 months after the events of man of steel.This movie also considered as the renewal of Batman character after Nolan's The Dark Knight Trilogy.
3)Suicide Squad(2016)- happens after batman v superman . When superman is dead, Amanda Waller assembles a team of imprisoned supervillains to execute dangerous black ops missions.
4)Wonder Woman (2017) - story is about while Diana gets an old photo of her from Bruce Wayne she remembers how she came to men's land from her home Island Themiscyra and her adventures during World War 1
5)Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021) - after the death of Superman, Bruce wayne and Diana try to build a group of metahumans to protect Earth from threats in the absence of Superman and sametime Steppenwolf and his army try to conquer Earth for his master and nephew Darkseid . The group have to face Steppenwolf and his army .
6)Aquaman (2018) -A direct sequel to Zack Snyder's Justice League . Story is how Aquaman becomes King of Atlantis .
7)Shazam(2019)- After being abandoned at a fair, Billy constantly searches for his mother. His life, however, takes a huge turn when he inherits superpowers from a powerful wizard . Movie have references about Batman and Superman.
8)Wonder Women 1984(2020)- tells about Diana's life and threats she faced in 1984 . Comparing to wonder woman 1, this movie feels like shit to me .
9)Harley Quinn:Birds of Prey(2020)-After being thrown out in the streets by Joker, Harley struggles to pick herself up. However, Harley teams up with Huntress, Black Canary and Renee Montoya to defeat a gangster and protect a girl. We can consider this movie as after events of Suicide Squad 2016 but there are no references about that .
10)The Suicide Squad (2021)-Amanda Waller manipulates supervillains to become a part of a dangerous team in exchange for reduced sentences. They get sent to Corto Maltese, where they must destroy a laboratory. It can be considered as sequel Suicide Squad 2016, but there are no any references than Amanda waller, Rick Flag, Harley Quinn .
11)Peacemaker Season 1- events in this show happens after the The Suicide Squad 2021.
DCEU movies after aquaman feels like standalone because of stupid decisions of WB heads .

The Batman( 2022 ) and Joker (2019) are standalone movies and not part of DCEU and are not related eachother . Joker is getting a sequel and The Batman is getting its own universe
